In his capacity as the Director, Mr. Langhout ensures the Ground Vehicle Systems Center is Forging the Future by developing world-class engineering talent in the areas of survivability and protection, autonomy and robotics, propulsion and mobility, electronics and power management, fuels and lubricants, and ground system design and optimization. The Ground Vehicle Systems Center (formerly the Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center {TARDEC}) is the Army’s primary organic engineering talent to develop the Next Generation Family of Combat Vehicles and thus deliver land dominance in the future fight.
Registration: Registration is made through the AUSA Arsenal of Democracy Website link thru Constant Contact. All reservations must be made by 29 March 2019. The cut-off date is essential to ensure an adequate amount of food is prepared by the MCC staff, and to complete the registration details. See the link below to register.

Ticket Prices: Breakfast ticket prices are $25.00 per person and $45.00 per person for non-AUSA members who wish to join AUSA, and receive a two year membership ($40.00 for membership dues and $5.00 for the breakfast).
Advanced Payment: All payments must be made in advance. Payment can be made by credit card through the website link, or by check payable to AUSA/Arsenal of Democracy Chapter. Mail checks to Mike Bracket, 44260 Cadburry Drive, Clinton Township, MI, 48038.

Breakfast Check-in: Check-in and name-tag pick up will begin at 0730 at the Registration Table located at the front of the hall entrance. Breakfast will open at 0800 with a buffet of scrambled eggs, hash browns, a breakfast meat and fresh fruit bowl, accompanied by bagels; served with orange juice, freshly brewed regular and decaffeinated coffee, and assorted herbal and gourmet teas.
Name Tag: Attendees are issued a name-tag at check in. Your name tag will serve as the breakfast ticket. Non-AUSA members who chose to join AUSA are asked to complete their AUSA membership form at the New Member table, and then pick up their name tag.
Reserved Tables: Tables may be reserved for groups of eight. Indicate your desire on the registration form. All tables are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, and will be assigned from front to back in the order that the reservation and payment were received.
Event Parking: Parking is available at parking lots 4, 5, 7 and 8 adjacent to the John Lewis Center.
Dress: Dress is business for civilians, and uniform of the day for military.

Breakfast Date and Location: The Arsenal of Democracy Chapter, Association of the United States Army will hold its annual Breakfast Meeting on Thursday, 4 April 2019, 0730-1000 hours at the Macomb Community College (MCC), John Lewis Center, Building K, room K301, 14500 E. 12 Mile Road, Warren, MI 48088.
The Breakfast Meeting is held in conjunction with the Michigan National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Chapter’s Michigan Defense Exposition (MDEX) event held at the adjacent Sports & Expo Center, Building P.
Guest Speaker: Our guest speaker is Mr. Jeffery Langhout. Mr. Langhout currently serves at TACOM as the Director, US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command’s Ground Vehicle Systems Center. He leads a workforce of over 1,800 engineers, scientists, researches and support staff in delivering advanced technologies as required by the Army’s strategic priorities and support to its Cross Functional Teams. Mr. Langhout also provides life cycle engineering solutions to the Army’s Ground Combat Systems and Combat Support & Combat Service Support PEOs, the Tank Automotive Life Cycle Management Command, and the broader Department of Defense.
